Abstract
Positive output super-lift converters (POSLC) are a series of novel DC/DC converters. Three possible discontinuous operating modes (DCM) of POSLC are introduced. A general analysis on the elementary circuit of POSLC in the discontinuous inductor current mode (DICM) is carried out here. The steady state properties and the boundary conditions in DICM are presented by the modeling of elementary circuit using state-space averaging method. And the same results are achieved by the equivalent duty ratio method. The simulation and experimental results are given. It is shown that the general analytical methods introduced here is appropriate for POSLC.
