Abstract :
The outage probabilities for two different digital radio systems (11 GHz, 140 Mbps) under test have been computed using three methods, in order to evaluate the accuracy of the models for predicting outage due to selective fading. The outage times obtained are independent of the multipath fading occurrence factor, P0. The results are tabulated and compared with experimental values. It is found that the FUB method, which is based on linear amplitude dispersion, is the most accurate for modeling the effects of selective multipath fading
