Abstract
This paper presents a linear programming approach to the design of three-dimensional (3-D) recursive digital filters. Linear constraints are imposed on the filter coefficients to ensure stability. The designed filter has near linear phase characteristics with arbitrary magnitude response. An example to illustrate the usefulness of the proposed technique is presented
