Abstract
We introduce a simple adaptive procedure for computing the suboptimal weight vector of an array system operating at the cell-site. The total computational load for computing the primary eigenvector of the generalized eigen-problem is only O(8.5N) including the matrices updates. The performance of the array system provided by the proposed beamformer is shown in 3 typical cases of multipath fading wideband CDMA channel
