Abstract

A new filter is proposed based on the filter created by Dr. Salvador Bosso (1994) in Chile. This filter, called the Bosso´s filter, has an interesting behavior that depends on its parameters. Some results for different values of its parameters λ and a, characterizing the filter of Bosso, are presented. When the discrete equation is obtained, a third parameter N appears. This parameter corresponds to the number of pixels in the kernel. To analyze the behavior of the filter, IDL software is used on the bidimensional simple images
