The status and development of magnetically controlled reactor
Abstract :
It is a certain trend of industrial development what the ultra-high voltage and extra-high voltage transmission technology are applied in our power industry development. And the power transmission technologies have put forward higher standards about the security of power system and power quality. Based magnetically controlled reactor (MCR) on voltage control and static Var compensator and so on, it is playing an important role in improving power quality and enhancing the stability of system. So, it is realistic needs and development tendency that application of MCR. In this paper, the improvements of the controlled reactor have been reviewed briefly, and the principle and structure and application area of MCR have been introduced. The characteristics of MCR have been summarized and developing direction of MCR has been prospected, through comparing frequently-used controlled reactors detailedly.
