Abstract
A flow control algorithm for virtual circuits is proposed which takes into account the fact that in a packet switched network, different users can have different requirements for throughput and average delay. The algorithm is based on a new definition of power based on multiple objective optimization theory. Problems of approximation and convergence are discussed, and a numerical example is given.<>
