  • Abstract
The construction of highway tunnel is a subsystem of construction system that including building construction and mining production characteristics. This paper proposed a new method that combining principal component analysis (PCA) with fuzzy comprehensive evaluation (FCE) and the mathematics method is used separately to evaluation single factors and to carryout synthesis assessment in the safety assessment index system for highway tunnel construction. The index system of accident risk was established, and principal component analysis was applied to eliminate the indexes having the relativities and overlap information. Finally, the unascertained measure method has been introduced into the fields for risk assessment of safety of highway tunnel construction, which can reduce tunnel construction accident and provides scientific basis for tunnel construction.
