Abstract :
Oscillators with quadrature output signals are required in modern RF front-ends. In this paper, we present a two-integrator wide tuning range oscillator that can perform also the mixing function. After a high level (Matlab) study the oscillator was designed for AMS 0.35 μm CMOS technology. The circuit level simulations show that the oscillator is tunable in the range of 900 MHz to 5.8 GHz by changing a tuning current, and mixing may be performed throughout this range.
