Abstract :
Primary bovine articular chondrocyte (BAC) monolayers were treated with fluid shear (0.5 Pa) and hypoxia (5% O2) and compared with monolayers grown under static normoxic conditions. Results indicate that shear stress and hypoxia reverse chondrocyte dedifferentiation observed under static normoxic conditions
