Abstract :
The supported catalyst was prepared with transitional metal Co as the active component and the granular active carbon as the carrier. The catalytic wet air oxidation of methyl orange simulated wastewater with chlorine dioxide as oxidant. The optimal conditions were as follows:pH was 2, the dosing quantity of chlorine dioxide was 24 mg/L and catalyst was 60·g/L-1, reaction time was 60 min, the maximum COD removal rate was 86.96%, the chroma removal rate was almost 100%. The catalyst can be repeatedly used for 7 times with stable catalytic activity.
