  • Abstract
    The use in actual project, the basic structure and working process of the drop hammer are introduced in this paper, and the problems of the traditional manual control are also analyzed. A drop hammer device control system based on PLC is proposed after analyzing the working process in details. The absorption and release of the drop hammer is realized through the power control of the electromagnet. A pneumatic control system is designed, which can not only lift the drop hammer but also finish the secondary entrusting appliance movement. A thought of drop hammer high degree of closed-loop control is proposed, through the grating height measurement combined with the PLC controlled stepper motor, the precise positioning of height is achieved. A dedicated speed system is designed to check the drop hammer status and the safe of the system is analyzed finally. The response time during secondary entrusting is less, with accuracy positioning of height and easy operating, this system can meet the demands in use.
