Abstract :
Since environment changes rapidly and becomes more complicated, no enterprise can avoid the threat of crises of different kinds in the age of globalization and network. It is important that enterprise should carry out crisis management (CM) to prevent or alleviate the damage caused by any crises when necessary. However, managers may be at a loss when faced with non-structured problems (NSP). This paper gives definition to NSP in CM process and analyses the reasons NSP exist. After reviewing the contributions crisis management plan (CMP) brings about and its disadvantages, this paper suggests that CMP and Checkland soft system methodology (SSM) should be integrated seamlessly to develop strategy for NSP.
