Abstract
A congestion management method considering both voltage stability and economic cost under electric market was proposed. Two steps were included in this method. The load margin was used as a criterion for assessing voltage stability in the first step which was calculated by interior point method. Next, a new criterion called the economic sensitivity of lading margin related to generator (ESMLG) was proposed which means the economic value increment of each generator for increasing unit load margin. Based on load margin the ESMLG values are calculated and ranked, then the generator with the lowest ESMLG value will be adjusted to increase load margin. Exam of IEEE 14 nodes system is used to verify the effectiveness of this new congestion management method.
