Abstract :
Threshold and lifetime of high power laser array are sensitively related to the temperature rise. The two structures of heat sink are studied and the distributions of temperature in the heat sinks are given with the same the power density. The first one is a rectangle heat sink in the cross section. It is found that the temperature increases with the thickness of heat sink. Another one is a concave heat sink, in which the laser array is put. The high temperature is also given in this structure and the simulation results for two structures of heat sink are compared
