Abstract
This work presents an automation system to carry out the climate control of a greenhouse. Distributed control system based on a programmable logic controller connected to a group of sensors and actuators via the field bus PROFIBUS (process field bus) and ET 200S decentralized periphery stations is implemented. Moreover, installation is supervised in situ and remotely using an operator panel with monitoring and control software. The designed system constitutes a benchmark for advanced control strategies based on greenhouse climate models.
