Abstract
This paper presents (1) the simultaneous recording of microdialysis and electrophysiological measures from the dentate gyrus of freely moving rats, and (2) the correlation between the induction of LTP in the perforant path/dentate synapse of the awake male adult rat, with changes in hippocampal norepinephrine levels, which rose significantly during LTP induction
