Abstract :
A specific designed digital signal controller, such as the dsPIC33F, for a Brushless DC drive is discussed in this paper. The ICs dramatically simplifies the design of the motor control system, reduces the required circuit area and electronic component counts. Shorter design times, flexibility of design modification and improved system design are the added benefits of using the digital signal controller. The laboratory experimental results were captured by the undergraduate student in machinery courses at Curtin University of Technology, Malaysia.
