Abstract :
The paper describes methods of modelling, controlling and design of power systems and subsystems, taking into account uncertainty. The algorithms for constructing electrical load curves on the basis of processing short statistical samplings and expert estimates, forming fuzzy load estimates using aggregation of information, load coordination taking into account remote load measurements and load forecasting are considered. Efficiency of using various aspects of soft computing, including heuristic procedures, apparatus of fuzzy set theory, neural network models, rule-based systems for solving the above problems is demonstrated. Procedures of decision making in a fuzzy environment are briefly discussed
