Abstract :
In this paper the use of a 3D finite element method (FEM) coupled to a circuit approach is proposed for the analysis of electromechanical devices. This method consists in the evaluation of equivalent circuit parameters through a set of field analysis. The approach has been applied to industrial devices: an electromagnetic actuator and a synchronous machine (claw-pole) and the obtained results are compared to experimental ones
