Abstract
This paper deals with the modeling and the simulation of high power electrical drives using a double stator synchronous motor. Two structures, current and voltage supply, are investigated. The study shows that torque ripple depends on the angle γ between the two stators. The optimum value of γ is 30° in the case of current structure. However, in the case of voltage structure, torque ripple depends on angle γ, leakage inductance and period of PWM triangular carrier
