Abstract :
This paper presents an algorithm for estimating the network connectivity of a wireless network from physical layer measurements. Received signal strength (RSS) data is used to jointly estimate the locations and radiation patterns of multiple transmitters. These estimates are used to create an RF footprint of each transmitter, and the collection of footprints can be used to estimate which nodes are communicating with which other nodes.
