Abstract :
For receiving antenna image induction (II) analysis methods the feed has to be modeled as an array of Hertzian dipoles to correctly use the II methods, namely Maggi-Rubinowicz image induction (MII), a line integral method, and Gordon image induction (GII), an approximate closed form method. Rigorously, repeated analysis should be applied to each dipole system, and this is done in the exact MII method. However, this can lead to some rather high computation times. The approximation consists of using a feed array function in both the MII and GII methods. The results of approximate MII and GII are presented and compared to the exact MII method.
