Abstract
Injuries of the Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) cause long term changes in the knee joint and they affect the performance of daily living activities. This study examines the gait pattern of ACL injured subjects in order to obtain a quantitative analysis of the strategy related to this injury. 15 subjects with symptomatic ACL deficiency and a control group of 11 normal subjects were analysed. Many differences were found between the control group and the injured subjects, but also between the injured leg and the healthy one. These changes could affect the loading features of knee structures and thus contribute to joint degenerative changes
