Abstract :
This paper describes a control system ethos for a variable voltage and frequency induction motor drive for a light electric vehicle. Algorithms presented use Microsoft Excel, a readily accessible software package, and give the supply voltage and frequency required to meet mechanical demand at maximum efficiency. The algorithm is considered in relation to the operation of a light electric vehicle in an urban environment
