Abstract
A system for automatic high-accuracy decomposition of myoelectric signals is described. The system has an in-depth knowledge about the properties of myoelectric signals, and it uses this knowledge to direct the decomposition efforts, i.e. to select what to do, how to do it and how to tune computational parameters. The hierarchical organization of the system allows modular additions of knowledge as well as algorithms to further improve its performance.<>
