Abstract :
A dual-frequency microstrip rectifier working at 1.8GHz and 2.4GHz (GSM and ISM bands) is proposed for the rectenna of a wireless power transmission (WPT) system. The diode has different complex impendences at the two operation frequencies under the same input power and load conditions, so a cross-shaped match stub is designed to match the two impedances. The DC-pass filter (DPF), which is composed of three cascade fan shaped stubs, effectively blocks the fundamental frequency and the higher order harmonics generated from the diode. When the input power is 10mW, the simulated RF-DC conversion efficiencies on the 800 Ω load are 77.5% and 75.1% for 1.8GHz and 2.4 GHz operation frequencies, respectively.
