Abstract
Necessary and sufficient conditions are obtained for the existence of static state feedback and state coordinate change that transform a state equation with specified output into the pseudonormal form. A system in this form has the property that its family of linearizations about constant operating points has input-output behavior that is independent of the operating point. The approach leads to an alternative derivation of input-state pseudolinearization results via the device of selecting appropriate dummy outputs
