Abstract :
Compared with traditional nonlinear control method with single controlled variable, there are some novel characteristics of the nonlinear control method with multiple controlled variables. By choosing multiple controlled variables, the control performance of multiple variables could be coordinated, and the droop control could be realized. In the paper, the synchronous generator set is chosen as an example to illustrate above novel characteristics of the nonlinear control with multiple controlled variables. For excitation control, the terminal voltage and the derivative of the rotor speed are chosen as the controlled variables, and then the control performance of terminal voltage and rotor speed could be coordinated. For governor control, the rotor speed and the mechanic power are chosen as the controlled variables, and then the speed-droop characteristic of conventional governor controller could be considered.
