Abstract :
Short-circuited fault is one of the most dangerous and common faults occurring in power system, which includes three-phase short circuit, two-phase short circuit, two-phase grounding short circuit and single-phase grounding short circuit. Abundant field statistic data demonstrate that over 85% short- circuited faults are single-phase grounding type. According to the actual power system transmission line, the present paper devotes to the simulation regarding A-phase short circuit. The original signal is detected using the lifting wavelet presented by Sweldens(1998). Compared with traditional wavelet, lifting wavelet calculates quickly and easily, since fast calculation is important in power system, especially when a real-time operation is needed. The simulation results show that lifting wavelet can accurately detect the signal singularity of transmission line short- circuited fault. In addition, the detecting speed of lifting wavelet is 3millisecond faster than that of db5 wavelet. The proposed method provides effective support for next fault location.
