Abstract :
The finite spectrum assignment law of linear systems is extended to single-input single-output systems having a time-varying input delay. State prediction via the given system model is applied together with a state estimation procedure to obtain the feedback signal for the controller. Ordinary pole placement design laws are used for determining the feedback, and estimator gains. The stable feedback control and estimator error systems are obtained to guarantee asymptotic tracking of a given reference model having the same time-varying delay as the original system
