Abstract :
The waveform of power system´s parameter is related closely to its status, it can reflects and foresees that curtain status and fault will occur in power system. In this paper chaos and fractal theory is used to analyze parameter waveform, abstract characteristic value, build standard model library about parameter waveform, and analysis overall and evaluate property of power system. To power system´ fault waveform characteristic, A new identification algorithm -fractal dimension and average value density is proposed. This algorithm can recognize all kinds of fault waveform effectively, thus analysis result can be used faulty diagnosis and status property monitor of power system.
