Abstract :
A digital voltammetric system is described which combined several functions for electrochemical treatment, electrocoating and quality evaluation of the Carbon Fiber Electrode (CFE), and for concentration calibration, voltammetric measurement, and data processing of biochemical experiments. All of the above-mentioned functions can be operated in a stand-alone system. This system offers researchers all requirements necessary for detecting neurotransmitters or other micro materials. The VXIbus (VMEbus extensions for instrumentation) architecture and the B-size circuit boards were involved. In this design, a microcomputer system board controls several measurement boards and other function boards. Consequently, this system provides more flexible experiments for neuroscience research, and is more convenient when researchers execute their experiments of new voltammetry or other electrochemical processes
