Abstract :
Simulation of the Herault-Jutten (H-J) algorithm and its hardware implementation are discussed. Since the algorithm is general and realizable in hardware, numerous applications exist. Results shown that the circuit is effective for channel separation and works very well for separating individual speech from mixed-speech signals, i.e. speech enhancement in a multispeaker environment. When signals received from multiple sensors are mixed in an unknown manner because the sensors are dependent on more than one variable, the H-J algorithm is capable of separating them into the original uncorrupted signals for both linear and nonlinear mixing.<>
