Abstract :
Presents an analysis of different filter types for the compression and fusion of MR images using wavelet packets. RMS error criteria are presented as well as difference images and visual analysis. Results complement other work where the auuthors show that wavelet packets are the best technique for lossy compression in the transform domain and is important in the development of new compression techniques for image stacks
