Abstract
This paper presents the design of active phased array antenna architectures for high reliability that does not require replacement of active components for an extended period of time. The reliability of the antenna is defined in terms of the mean-time-between-failure (MTBF), and design of phased array architectures is discussed for maximizing the antenna MTBF
