Abstract :
This paper presents a new method of super instruction task call (SI task call). It bases on a multiprocessor system-on-chip (MPSoC) which includes one master and several slaves. In this kind of system, the complicated but independent algorithms of an application system could be mapped to a set of super instruction codes. And these algorithms could be programmed in the slaves in advance. As to the terminal users, a task call only means to write two corresponding instructions in the master. Deeply understanding the principle of the algorithms is not exactly necessary. It is enough for the user to know the function and the mapped SI code for each algorithm. The slave completes the task independently. An innovative shield area structure is adopted in the code memories of the slaves. It brings an efficient method of automatic addressing, which makes the system much easier for using. The user doesn´t need to know the details of the abstruse algorithms in an application field but only to pay attention to the application program in the master. When it needs a task call, the master sends the super instruction to certain slave which will complete the task independently. This method greatly simplifies task call and improves the parallelity of the system
