Abstract
In this paper we present a side-by-side comparison of interference avoidance (IA) algorithms for distributed codeword adaptation in CDMA systems. We consider the eigen-algorithm, the minimum mean square error (MMSE) algorithm, and the adaptive IA algorithm and investigate their convergence speed using extensive simulations of various uplink CDMA system scenarios.
