Abstract
This paper introduce a method of enlarging power transfer capability of electric power corridor connecting to different regions by means of compensation. Different from traditional way to consider voltage stability condition, this paper focus on the influence caused by power transferred in corridor, and this make developing new tool of analysis necessary. A new modified continuous power flow calculation method is developed in this paper, sensitivities of voltage to power transferred is used to determine the site of Var compensation and optimal algorithm of predictor corrector Interior point method is employed to optimize total injection of reactive power in selected weak buses.
