Abstract :
The study employs the input-output analysis to examine the inter-industry linkage effect and the economic contribution of the Logistics Industry, with specific application to China. Using "input-output table of China in 2002", this paper considers Transport and Storage as the principal part of Logistics Industry and computes the input coefficients, sensibility index of dispersion, power index of dispersion and the economic contribution of China\´s Logistics Industry. The results indicate that the Logistics Industry\´s pulled effect given by the national economy is higher than its push effect to other industries. Some policy implications of the findings of this study for the development of China\´s Logistics Industry are explored in the end.
