Abstract :
This paper describes an integrated boost-full bridge rectifier power factor corrector driven by a sliding-mode control. Due to the sliding-mode control, fast regulation of the output voltage is achieved. In addition, with this scheme, the major power goes through a single stage to the output, while both unity power factor and fast dynamic response is obtained, and the efficiency as well as the power density can be higher than in a conventional two cascade stage scheme. A prototype circuit has been built to verify this approach. The control strategy and experimental results are presented
