Abstract :
The paper present facts on quality and assessment of Polytechnic education system in India. Seamless integration of the Diploma and Degree in Engineering is the need of the hour. Various parameters, data and facts based on socio-economic constraints in the Indian perspective are covered in this paper. An improvised model of Technical Education has been presented through this paper. Such a model, if adopted, can revolutionize Technical Education in India by drastically improving its quality. As a byproduct of such a seamless Technical Education system, huge opportunities for lateral and vertical movement for all the students and the faculty shall arise. This, in turn, is sure to exponentially boost and unravel the true potential of our Technical Education.
