Abstract :
This paper proposes an improved scheme based on Direct Torque Control with Space Vector Modulation (DTC- SVM) for IM. In the described scheme, IM is divided into three different operating conditions, and is supplied by specified voltage vector calculated according to the predicted state variables, for keeping fast torque response while reducing the torque ripple. The prediction method and basis of subdivision of the motor state are analyzed. Although computationally intensive, the proposed scheme is implemented on DSP-based hardware, and simulation and experimental results are given in great details.
