Abstract :
A new calibration method is described for the equivalent source mismatch (ΓG) of a power splitter. It uses one-port measurements by an ordinary one-port calibration at the test port of a vector network analyzer, with the remaining ports loaded with termination, imperfect load, and a series of three characterized standards, i.e., open, short and load. It also takes advantage of the reciprocity characteristic of the power splitter. As the system impedance is normalized to the impedance of the termination, the termination works as a perfect load in measurements and calculations for the S-parameters of the power splitter.
