Abstract :
The IEEE Second Symposium on Network Cloud Computing and Applications, was held at Imperial College on December 3-4, 2012. The symposium programme includes 21 rigorously refereed papers covering several important topics, including verifying and optimizing clouds, energy efficiency in cloud computing, cloud storage and data mining, networks and secure clouds, mobile clouds, communication issues in cloud computing, and other special issues. I am particularly grateful to all those who submitted papers to this event, to the Programme Committee members and anonymous referees who evaluated the submissions and selected the programme, and to the speakers who are present at the event.
