Abstract :
A system for detecting a gastric ulcer on a gastric endoscope image was studied. In this system, after detection of gastric ulcers, an outline of a gastric ulcer in a gastric endoscope image is drawn on the display. The aims of the study are as follows: to digitalize the image produced by the gastric endoscope; to eliminate noise and improve the quality of the image; to detect the edge of the ulcer; to obtain fundamental information on the condition of the ulcer; and to improve the color appearing in the color photograph
