Title :
The ABC of the physicist entrepreneur: from academia to business and commerce, a personal journey

Abstract :
Summary form only given. Being a physicist and being an entrepreneur have many things in common, you must be of an independent and inquisitive mind, you have to make plans and then collect and organize resources, usually limited, often reduced to yourself, and drive them towards your goals. Yet the road from academia to commerce is full of surprises, some less pleasant than others. I review my own path and comment on it from three different points of view: the real life experience of business, the scientific approach and the management school approach. I also present some suggestions on what could be done to help researchers develop management skills and get in touch with potential investors
