Abstract :
The authors propose a geometric approach to the analysis of sampled data quasi-sliding modes. Sufficient conditions for sampled data quasi-sliding modes convergence and existence are derived. A calculation procedure for the maximum allowable oscillation, around the sliding surface is also formulated. All the results can be expressed, for the linear single-input case, in terms of simple matrix-algebraic criteria
