Abstract
The Paladin P/DIU enhancement effort is an embedded diagnostics vision shared by PM Paladin/FAASV, PM Test Measurement and Diagnostic Equipment (PM TMDE) and the Automated Test Systems Team (ATST). The P/DIU is Built-in-Test-Equipment (BITE) and has been an integral part of the Paladin (self-propelled howitzer) Automatic Fire Control System (AFCS) for 15 years. With time, come obsolescence issues, and advancements in technology. The basis of this effort is to demonstrate, economically, the potential of an enhanced P/DIU and how it can exemplify the many embedded diagnostic visions presented previously at AUTOTESTCON, Army Diagnostic Improvement Program (ADIP) and other maintenance conferences
