Abstract
The authors continue their study of orbit closure problems for generalized state space systems initiated previously (see Proc. 29th IEEE Conf. on Dec. and Cont., p.55-60, 1990). A theorem concerning the degeneration of these systems under pencil equivalence is reported, and some system-theoretic consequences are discussed
